Patrilineal tradition and inclusive recognition

The KNK Tribe is traditionally a patrilineal society: customary clan identity, land relationships and lineage are passed through the father's line.

The Association also recognises matrilineal connections and general community members. This is essential for inclusive development and accurate data collection, so that every person who lives with and contributes to our community can be counted, supported and included in planning — while customary lineage remains respected.
